Newspaper.co.uk discusses eyelid myochemistry (eyelid trembling) with Daniela Pavese of Eyecare Clinic Milano

Daniela Pavese, an ophthalmologist at Eyecare Clinic in Milan, explained on IlGiornale.it’s website what eyelid myokymia commonly known as eyelid shaking is and how it is treated.

“It is a very annoying but transient condition,” says Dr. Pavese, “often caused by stress or alcohol and cigarette abuse. Other times, however, it might be a very dry eye that causes the eyelid flickering. Usually the discomfort lasts for a short time, but if the symptoms become persistent, it is then time to see a medical specialist who will be able to assess the severity of the problem.”
