In Italy, 4 in 10 adults are overweight and 10% of the population is obese, with a Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 30. Obesity is a significant risk factor for chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and some cancers. Addressing this condition is critical to improving public health and requires targeted, multidisciplinary interventions.
In response to this need, Erba Hospital is pleased to announce the opening of the Obesity Care Center, led by Dr. Laura Molteni. This new center is dedicated to the treatment of excess weight and obesity with an integrated and personalized approach based on innovative therapies and comprehensive patient management.
